Nick Mathew

Mathew has described himself as an athlete who doesn’t finish at the top or finish at the bottom very often, and has credited his success in the sport to that consistency. Through the first two Tour Stops he has almost lived up to that billing with eight out of 14 finishes in the middle (11th - 20th) of the Pro Divisions. 

If not for an unusually slow start in Mesa, with three-consecutive workout finishes in the bottom five, we’d see that consistency paying off even more. As it stands now however, he’s leading the group that is in tight contention at the Pro Card cutline, but he finds himself 64 points behind the next ranked athlete, which is a big gap at this range in the rankings.
