Sydney Wells

Wells' performance feels like it’s gone unnoticed as she sits quietly in 11th place heading into the Finals, knocking on the door of the top ten against the best in the world. However, while many athletes saw a drop off from Tour Stop 1 to Tour Stop 2, Wells capitalized firmly by doing the opposite. 

She has had four finishes of seventh or better across the two Tour Stops, three of those came in Mesa on workouts 1, 4B, and 5. At the same time she managed to improve her lower finishes considerably; after having a pair of 27th place finishes at Tour Stop 1, her lowest finishes in Mesa were 22nd and 21st.

In general she is competing less than most of the other women in this field this year; that could end up culminating in another strong performance in Denmark. Be on the lookout for her there!
