Bethany Flores has a diverse athletic background that laid the foundation for her career in CrossFit.From the ages of 5 to 12, she was a competitive gymnast, which developed her strength and coordination. She then transitioned to long-distance running in high school, competing in track, cross country, and various races. Her athletic pursuits also included sprint triathlons and obstacle course races before she moved on to amateur bodybuilding from ages 18 to 20. At 23, she found her calling in CrossFit and has been a professional athlete for seven years and beyond.
Over her career, Flores has compiled a strong record of accomplishments. She has competed in the Games multiple times, with her highest finish being 4th place in 2024, where she was also the fittest American woman. She also had an impressive 8th place finish in 2019, which included two second-place finishes in individual events. In 2021, she won the West Coast Classic and was a record holder for the "Triple-G Chipper" event before being forced to withdraw. Flores has also faced significant setbacks, including a back injury that sidelined her from the 2022 season. Her comeback story has been a major focus of her recent work, as she documents her journey on YouTube, emphasizing her efforts to heal her back, regain strength, and eventually reach the podium.
