Even during Medeiros’ most dominant stretch of his career in 2021 and 2022 he was never known for winning workouts outright; rather he was the epitome of pacing and consistency across all styles of workouts and against all strengths of competition fields. And although he hasn’t been racking up competition wins this year, the consistent nature of his fitness remains.

He actually did pick up a rare workout win at Tour Stop 1 on Indy Pro 2 on the back of some of his biggest strengths all being paired together (sandbag cleans, GHD sit-ups, and handstand walking). The remainder of his finishes that weekend had a range of nine (from sixth to 15th), all in the top-half of the field.

He was having a pretty similar weekend in Arizona at Tour Stop 2 with finishes ranging from fifth to 16th through the first two days of competition. However, on the last day he had his two worst finishes of the touring season so far, taking 19th on both Mesa Pro 5 and 6 and falling out of the top-10 for that Tour Stop. He’ll be looking to rebound from that in the Finals and see if he can pick off a few Aussies who are immediately in front of him on the season standings leaderboard.
